8.1 - August Update
Happy August everyone! I've added a new page to the website on cartomancy. Many of you may be familiar with tarot cards, but divination using regular playing cards is possible too! Read about it here . Today is also Lammas, one of the pagan holidays in the wheel of the year, and the halfway point between the summer soltice and autumn equinox. This holiday does have Christian roots, so for that reason I personally don't celebrate as I try to stay away from Abrahamic religion. If you are interested in Celtic culture & practices, this holiday may be of interest. It is typically associated with grain & harvest, so it is a good day if you want to bake. For most of us, August is the month between summer and fall, so now is a good time to take notice of how nature reacts around you approaching the coming season, the days getting shorter, etc. Pretty obvious, but I think it's something a lot of us don't really pay attention to on a day-to-day basis as we go to work and go about our days.
